practice
Practicing is an opportunity to listen.
To create a building (or a park, a fence, a luminaire, a…), a great many voices need to be heard. Understanding the relationships between a project’s site, program, budget, and schedule is critical to crafting an architectural solution specific to and appropriate for its unique context. Asking questions is important. Offering ideas is imperative. Communicating openly is paramount. Collaborating – and listening – effectively with clients and colleagues, consultants and contractors joins together the process of architectural thinking and the product of constructive making.
